We’re excited to share our experience staying at one of Cebu City’s most popular hotels: Quest Hotel Cebu! If you’re searching for a spot that’s comfortable, affordable, and right at the center of the action, this might just be the perfect place for you. Let’s dive into everything you need to know about this awesome hotel!
Getting There
After landing at Mactan-Cebu International Airport, we hopped into a taxi to head straight to Quest Hotel. Travel time was about 30 minutes, depending on the usual Cebu traffic. The hotel is ideally located in the business district, just steps away from Ayala Center Cebu – making it super convenient for shopping, dining, and exploring the city.
Smooth and Easy Check-In
Check-in was a total breeze! We were warmly welcomed with a free room upgrade-such a great start to our stay. One thing we really appreciated was that no security deposit was required, making the process even faster. Plus, for those who prefer a contactless experience, Quest offers self-check-in and self-check-out kiosks. Talk about hassle-free!
Our Premier Deluxe Room
We stayed in a Premier Deluxe Room-a cozy, well-designed 25-square-meter space that’s perfect whether you’re traveling for business or leisure. There’s a dedicated workstation with a comfy chair, and the room features a step-out balcony furnished with rattan chairs and a table-a wonderful spot for morning coffee or a relaxing evening while taking in the city views.
The room is thoughtfully furnished with a plush king-size bed, matching side tables, stylish lamps, and a beautiful headboard that adds a touch of elegance. Amenities include a cable TV, water heater, coffee and tea station, complimentary water bottles, a mini-bar (note: items aren’t free), a mini-fridge, a safety deposit box, and an in-room dining menu.
We also loved the full-size mirror, the closet with hangers and slippers, and the spacious, well-equipped bathroom. Expect all the essentials here-shampoo, conditioner, soap, a dental kit, a hair dryer, and even a bidet-equipped toilet. Plus, you’ll find a water dispenser in the hallway, making it easy to refill your bottle anytime!
Breakfast Buffet Highlights
Our booking came with a complimentary breakfast buffet at the hotel’s main restaurant. Just give your room number, and you’re all set! The restaurant is roomy, able to accommodate over a hundred guests.
The buffet spread was fantastic-from fresh fruits and salads to hearty Filipino favorites like tocino, adobo, kare-kare, and garlic rice. There’s also a kakanin section featuring puto, kutsinta, and biko, a congee station, a pancake corner, and a pastry table loaded with ube cheese pandesal and danishes.
If you’re craving something savory, you can have customized omelets and noodles cooked fresh at the live station. And for drinks, they offer juices like mango and orange to refresh you throughout your meal.
One fun surprise? They offer free taho, served by a friendly staff member going around the tables-bringing that traditional street-food vibe straight to your breakfast table. Sweet, creamy, and absolutely delicious!
Hotel Amenities and Surroundings
The hotel lobby welcomes you with a spacious, modern vibe. There’s even a gift shop and pasalubong center if you want to bring home local goodies, and a pastry shop for freshly baked treats.
Up on the 7th floor, you’ll find the swimming pool – a great spot to chill out while soaking in some sunshine and city views. Plus, with Ayala Center Cebu and local favorites like House of Lechon nearby, you’re never far from something fun (or delicious!).
